Quick Update

Well, it looks like I am NEVER having this baby! I seriously feel like I have been in labor for a month. I have tried several "make you go into labor" remedies, but to no avail. She is just cooking in there- and getting huge, I am sure! Anyway, the end is in sight. If I haven't had her by Monday, then I will be induced Monday morning. I really don't want pitocin, so if anyone has any great self induction ideas, please share! Also, if you have any suggestions for a middle name that goes with Laynie- we are taking ideas! Have a Happy 4th of July and let's all hope for a baby before Monday!

Oh, Katie! I am so sorry that you haven't had her yet. I know there are a lot of bad stories about pictocin out there but I have to tell you my good story about it - I had it with both my boys and it worked really well. Both were around 5 hours from the start of the IV to the baby, they borke my water and had my epidual half way, both times I only pushed 5 minutes and I really think the pictocin worked well for me. I don't think that the pains were horrible, although I hear a lot of people say that they are way worse. I was fine, and you will be too - no matter what happens!

I hope she comes sooner, just so you are comfortable, we've been thinking about you all week! Please call us if you need anything! And happy 4th to you too - if we don't see you.

i'm so sorry. asher was born in august, and it was so hot and uncomfortable, so i can empathize. how exciting though, that she will be out soon no matter what!

ok, so my mom swears by castor oil. take a little bottle with orange juice. just make sure you don't eat a ton when you do it. i've never done it, but my mom did it with like 4 out the 7 kids, and whit did it with kadin.

my theory with all these methods, is that if the baby is ready to come, it will put you into labor, but if it's not...

the other tried and true method is sex, which i'm sure you already know. this last time, my doc said: "i'm sure your husband will be very disappointed to hear, that what got you into this mess, will get you out of it" haha! anyway...

going for a lot of walks seems to help too.

good luck!!

At least there is an end in sight...just wish it would come sooner than later!

Pitocin was fine for me.

Name = Laynie Jane Allred?

I hope you still enjoyed your fouth. I've been checking your blog all week trying to see if you had her or not. Wish we could be there to help you out afterwards. When we get back we'll bring you a meal for sure....and I won't take no for an answer!

I am with Erica, I think Jane would be perfect, I was actually suprised she had posted it before me. I would have to second the sex option, it will get her here!

I am so sorry. Maisey was two weeks late and even still with being induced she just did not want to come out. Good thing we forget so quickly about all of that! GOod luck!
